NewMedia Express is one of the few Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) in Singapore that have completed the tier-1 certification. We are proud to receive it on 3rd September 2014 after many rounds of rigorous audits conducted by DNV Business Assurance Pte. Ltd.

The MTCS certification confirms NewMedia Express' commitment in forging a long term partnership with projects undertaken by the Singapore Government.

The purpose is to encourage sound risk management and security practices through the adoption of MTCS standard.

It is aimed to provide businesses with greater clarity on the levels of security offered by different CSPs. Dubbed the Multi-Tier Cloud Security Standard for Singapore (MTCS SS), it spurs the adoption of cloud computing across industries. This standard increases clarity around the security service levels of cloud providers, while also increasing the level of accountability and transparency from these companies.

NewMedia Express voluntarily sought MTCS certification as we believe that these measures are of paramount importance in mitigating the risk in IT security.

The MTCS SS is the world's first cloud security standard that covers multiple tiers. With the new standard, certified CSP's will be able to spell out the levels of security that they can offer to their users.

MTCS SS has a self-disclosure requirements for CSPs covering service-oriented information that is normally included in Service Level Agreements. This covers areas such as data retention, data sovereignty, data portability, liability, availability, business continuity, disaster recovery, as well as incident and problem management.
